he Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry at NMDC focuses on promoting oral health, preventing dental diseases, and improving the overall oral health of individuals and communities through quality education, research, and community-based services. With experienced faculty and modern facilities, the department trains students in preventive dentistry, oral health promotion, disease prevention, and community dental care.

The department provides students with practical exposure to community-based dental programs, oral health education, screening camps, and preventive dental services. Students are encouraged to develop an understanding of the oral health needs of different populations and to apply appropriate preventive and public health strategies.

Our goal is to promote a culture of preventive oral healthcare and contribute to improved oral health outcomes through education, research, community outreach, and comprehensive preventive dental services, while preparing students to become skilled, compassionate, and socially responsible dental professionals.
